Some people say Sarah Harding Traverso was born to be a gymnast. Sarah has worked as a professional acrobat for SeaWorld, Tokyo Disney, Cirque du Soleil and has earned Miss Fitness USA twice, 2004 and 2006.

At 12 years old Sarah started having wrist pain. This scared her because a very important gymnastics event was right around the corner. Her parents took her to an orthopedic doctor who basically just said ice, rest and anti-inflammatory drugs was all she needed.

Unfortunately she did not have time to sit around and wait for the pain to subside nor did she want to affect her performance with possible side-effects from the opioids. So she turned to her chiropractor whom her parents had started “making her” see at an early age. She is now very thankful for that.

Her chiropractor had her to soak her wrist in ice, a lot, to reduce inflammation and performed adjustments and other therapies to decrease the healing time.  In just 10 days Sarah was completely free from her wrist pain; and with mobility restored she even won her gymnastics event.

Unfortunately, ten years later Sarah had a more serious problem.

As a freshman in college she sustained a stress fracture in her lower back. She was unable to walk without pain and couldn’t sleep through the night.
